The historic building -dated from 1853- is an example of the traditional buildings of Lemnos, important for the study of the island’s history and architecture. It was restored with the aim to become a holiday residence and at the same time to preserve and promote one of the few remaining samples of such architecture in Lemnos. This particular architecture is related with that of Thrace, Balkan and Asia Minor regions, which constitutes the essential environment of the island.
The residence had undergone successive interventions and unsuccessful renovations, which altered the authentic and aesthetic characteristics of the buildings of this architectural style.
