HERAKLION UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL, CRETE
CLIENT: PUBLIC CORPORATION FOR THE ERECTION OF HOSPITAL UNITS, 1983 - 1989

TPA prepared all design studies (architectural, structural, electromechanical, interior design, landscaping of the surrounding area, signing) and supported the contractor throughout the construction phases.
This hospital with a capacity of 637 beds has been design with state of the art equipments and teaching facilities to serve the Medical School of the University of Crete.
The construction was completed in 1989.
In September 1999, the Firm was assigned the full study (architectural, structural and electromechanical) of adding a 4th floor on the existing building of clinics of the University Hospital.
During the 1st stage of the project, a static and anti-seismic sufficiency test was carried out on the existing building on which the 4th floor will be erected and the full study of the addition will follow.
