This house, in the historic Plaka quarter of Athens, belonged to the family of the bakers Georgios and Anastasios Kakouris in the 19th century. Part of the building is of that date, abutting on the Metochi (dependency) of the Holy Sepulchre, while the rest of it is of a later date and is arranged round and enclosed courtyard.
The whole building, which is a typical example of the architecture of old Athens, has been restored with great respect for and fidelity to its morphology, its materials, its construction methods and its details, while at the same time it has been made suitable to serve as a modern home.
Complete architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and HVAC design, interior design and technical supervision.
Project completed in 1987.
